Some features within Teams are not available if running Teams in a web browser session and one of those is 'desktop sharing'

Since version 80 of all Chrome browsers this extension is built-in and does not need to be installed

If you are using Teams within a web browser (rather than using the desktop application) and you need to desktop share during a meeting, you will need to download an extension to enable this

Please note this extension currently only supports chromium browsers like MS Edge and Google Chrome

Within Edge or Chrome go to the following link - https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/microsoft-teams-screen-sh/dhheiegalgcabbcobinipgmhepkkeidk/related?hl=en

If using Edge to might need to enable extensions from other stores

Then click on Allow

Now click on add to chrome button

Confirm Add extension

You will now see the extension icon shown next to the address bar

Now when create or join a Teams meeting you can use the desktop sharing feature as normal

Then select your screen (if you have multiple monitors) and click on share
